Service Area
This service is available to ANYONE living within 3/4 of a mile from Broadway (Highway 340) as shown on the system map. Those living outside the 3/4 mile area may also utilize the service but will have to find a way to get to the service area in order to be picked up.
How to Schedule a Pick-Up
Riders must call the day before their desired pick-up time, or sooner if possible between the hours of 8:00 A.M. and 5:00 P.M. Monday through Friday. For Monday service, riders will need to call the Friday before by 5:00 P.M. Grand Valley Transit will do their best to schedule trips to meet the rider's needs. All riders within the service area will be picked-up curbside. All riders outside the service area will be scheduled to the nearest available pick-up point or major intersection within the service area. Riders will then be taken to the nearest transfer point (Mesa Mall or Albertson's on Power Road) to transfer to the fixed-route service.
Dial-A-Ride is a Shared Ride Service
Please be aware that the Redlands Area Dial-A-Ride program is a shared ride system. This means that other riders may be on board during any part of a trip, and a rider's scheduled pick-up times or route of travel may be altered so another rider can be accommodated. It is very likely that the vehicle will stop and pick up other riders as it proceeds to a destination. Shared rides lower the cost of service by increasing system productivity.
The Dial-A-Ride scheduler may ask riders to accept trip reservation times that are different from their original desired pick-up time. A rider's reservation time may be different than requested, however Grand Valley Transit will try to accommodate trip requests. Please try to be flexible because by changing your time more riders can be served. Grand Valley Transit asks that you cooperate whenever possible.
